Almost all smartphone manufacturers are actively working on their new folding screen smartphones. Motorola is no exception. We have already seen many renders of the upcoming Motorola Razr 3 and we know that it will adopt a vertical folding design.
Today, a Lenovo executive hinted on Weibo that the Motorola Razr 3 will come with an X-axis linear motor and stereo dual speakers. This is a big challenge for a small and thin folding screen flagship.
Apart from this, much prior to this, we heard that our protagonist will sport Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Thus, we are talking about the first Snapdragon 8+ folding screen phone.
In addition, the machine will feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz refresh rate screen with a punch-hole in the upper central area of the display. By the way, there is also a small secondary screen on the back that can preview some information.
Also, the Motorola Razr 3 will come with a front-mounted camera with a 32MP resolution. Whereas, the rear camera will have a 50MP resolution. But it’s a dual camera. The second lens will have a 13MP resolution.
The same Lenovo executive (Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo) said that the standby time of the new Razr surprised him. However, there have been leaks that the Motorola Razr 3 may be equipped with a 2800mAh battery. So the battery life is not expected to be something to talk about. Also, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is a very powerful chip and it requires a lot of energy. Will the mentioned capacity battery be able to provide an acceptable endurance? Who knows?
Well, what we can say for the time being is that the Motorola Razr 3 will be a vertical folding mobile phone that is going to challenge the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 with the same chip inside. They will be announced this month or the next.
