One of the biggest highlights of the series is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor under the hood. The latter boasts of a TSMC 4nm process instead of Samsung’s 4nm process found on the vanilla version. Due to the new manufacturing node, the energy consumption ratio is greatly improved.

Apart from the mentioned processor, the ASUS ROG Gaming Phone 6 also comes with 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS3.1 native storage.
The ASUS ROG Gaming Phone 6 adopts the newly designed matrix liquid-cooled heat dissipation architecture 6.0. There is 3300mg of boron nitride cooling material between the main board and the RF circuit board.
In terms of a software system, it runs on ROG UI and Zen UI based on Android 12.
Screen
Our protagonist has a 6.78-inch Samsung E4 material 165Hz AMOLED gaming screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2448. It also supports a ROG-exclusively calibrated 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate and has an industry-leading 720Hz touch sampling rate. The response time is 23ms. The ROG Gaming Phone 6 series screen also supports Delta-E < 1 color accuracy, HDR10+ high dynamic range, and a peak brightness of up to 1200nits. It has obtained the SGS Eye Care Display certification. The harmful blue light is lower than 6.5%.
In addition to the 165Hz mode, the display can be set to 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, or 144Hz according to user preference. The exterior is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to resist scratches.
The phone sports dual front speakers, triple microphones, Dirac Virtuo spatial audio, and a headphone jack. It is IPX4 splash resistant.
Camera and Battery
In terms of photography, there is a triple camera on the back. It includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, as well as 13MP ultra-wide-angle and 5MP macro lenses. On the opposite side, we have a 12MP Sony IMX663 camera.
Lastly, the handset packs a built-in 6000mAh battery. It is divided into two 3000mAh batteries. Interestingly, there are two USB-C ports: one on the bottom and the other on the side. The battery supports 65W wired charging.
Price
The phone’s 12GB+256GB version retails for 999 euros in Europe, while the ROG Phone 6 Pro mobile phone 18GB+512GB retails for 1299 euros.
