A series of rumors about the budget new GeForce GTX 1630 from NVIDIA continues. After reports of several transfers, new information has emerged about the timing of the release of this model. The information was found on the Chinese forum of suppliers and manufacturers of Board Channels.
The VideoCardz resource, at the suggestion of ITHome, found the original message, which indicates the estimated start date for sales on June 28th. There are no specific dates again, everything can change.
Officially, Nvidia did not announce the video card at all, apparently, it will be presented simultaneously with the start of sales. Production of the GeForce GTX 1630 has allegedly already begun.
Specifications and Price of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1630
According to available information, the GTX 1630 is a new entry-level graphics card based on the Turing architecture and features a TU117-150 GPU with 512 CUDA cores. The video memory must be 4GB GDDR6, but with a bus of less than that of the GTX 1650, for example.
The 75W TDP isn’t expected to change either, which means we’ll likely see custom designs without an external power connector, which ends up limiting the chips’ overclockability by third-party manufacturers.
Chinese retailers, VideoCardz notes, report a recommended price for the video card in the region of $150. The GeForce GTX 1630 is expected to be slower than the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
