We are slowly approaching the premiere of this year’s Apple smartphones from the iPhone 14 series. So far, we have learned what these devices will look like and some of their specifications. Now is the time for the batteries that power them.
According to data published on Twitter by a user under the name of ShrimpApplePro, Apple will use a 3279mAh battery in the standard iPhone 14 and the Pro version will have a battery capacity of 3200mAh. For comparison, the battery of the iPhone 13 is 3227mAh and the iPhone 13 Pro is 3095mAh.

However, the iPhone 14 Pro Max model has a 4323mAh battery, slightly down from its predecessor iPhone 13 Pro Max at 4352mAh. The only new iPhone model that can’t be compared is the rumored iPhone 14 Max, which will have the largest battery in the upcoming iPhone 14 series at 4325mAh.
Of course, a large battery is not a decisive factor in battery life and user experience. The battery capacity of the iPhone is often lower than that of high-end Android smartphones, even losing to mid-range Android phones. But Apple smartphones are often better optimized.
iPhone 14 series front-facing camera with autofocus
In addition to battery capacity, 9to5Mac also cited a recent report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo saying that this year’s iPhone 14 series will receive the biggest front-facing camera upgrade in years, with autofocus and aperture capabilities.
Bigger High-end iPhone models including iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will use a “punch” screen instead of a “rabbit ears”, a new A16 Bionic chip, and a 48MP main lens rear camera. A highly-anticipated feature that will be available on the iPhone Pro versions is the always-on display, which may also be the highlight for the new iPhone.
Colors of iPhone 14
Apart, a Chinese source has published a high-quality image of the iPhone 14 Pro in a new bronze color, which shows the device from two sides.
The source writes that this color will be darker than the classic gold, which was popular with many users a few years ago. The iPhone 14 and 14 Max will reportedly be available in black, white, blue, red, purple, and more, while the Pro Pro versions will be available in graphite, silver, and purple.
The official presentation of the new iPhones is scheduled for September 13, 2022.
