Chinese engineers decided to combine the compactness and convenience of old cell phones with the capabilities of modern smartphones and prepared for the release of Duoqin F22 Pro, a push-button device on Android 12.
Acclaimed as the ” King of Button Machines “, the Duoqin F22 Pro (147 x 58 x 9 mm), designed in black or white, has the classic shape of a feature phone, with some surprises. The 3.5-inch TFT LCD screen, resolved in 640 x 960 pixels (like the iPhone 4 of 2010), with a 60 Hz refresh rate, has a 3: 2 format and, despite its size, thanks to the DPI values (320) and PPI (160), is also clearly legible on texts and icons.
Below, with special optimizations (also vibrational), an alphanumeric keypad, including the central multi-function key, the key for returning to the Home, and the key for the back: it should be noted that the selfie camera (2MP), is also useful for video calls, has been inserted in the lower right corner, inside the space for the hash #.
On the back, there is no shortage of cameras towards third parties (8MP). The processor in service on the Duoqin F22 Pro is the octa-core (2-GHz) Mediatek Helio G85, with the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU (max 1 GHz), capable of using 4GB of RAM, in 64 or 128GB storage configurations.
Equipped with Bluetooth LE, and Wi-Fi ac / 5, the new compact Asian smartphone with a physical keyboard, in terms of mobile connectivity, aims all-in on 4G LTE even if, unfortunately, the NFC module for payments is missing: in remuneration, as equipped with an emitter for the infrared, it can act as a remote control for a wide range of devices.
The energy reserve of the F22 Pro amounts to 2150mAh and is rechargeable at a speed of 10W thanks to the micro-USB 2.0 Type-C port (with OTG and support for compatible headphones -earphones ). The operating system detected is Android 12, with support for the Widevine DRM L3 codec (to enjoy Netflix, albeit in SD at 480p) and unlockable BootLoader.
Price and Availability of Duoqin F22 Pro
So far, the manufacturer has not revealed the announcement date, but we are really curious to see how a smartphone with a physical keyboard can be placed in 2022. The Duoqin F22 Pro will be sold only in China and is expected not to exceed the $100 band.
