The Apple AR glasses have become a buzzword. Everyone is talking about it even without understanding what a product they are dealing with. Anyway, one thing is clear as the day – the world will change very soon, and the tech bigwigs will play a huge role in it. Among them, Apple, Meta (former Facebook), and others will be the first to offer the new-world gadgets. In this sense, Apple products are going to be among the pioneers.
Recently, we have been talking about the Apple AR glasses and said that there is a strong possibility that they will appear in the stores much earlier than the Apple VR/AR headset. It’s logical because the glasses will be capable of doing fewer things than the mixed reality headset of the Cupertino-based company. Today, 9to5mac reported that there is every reason to think the glasses will be available later in 2024. The device has now entered the design and development stage, according to a report by Haitong International analyst Jeff Pu.
Last week, Jeff Pu said that Luxshare will remain one of Apple’s main suppliers for devices launching between late 2022 and 2024. In addition, Apple’s AR glasses products will be launched in the second half of 2024.
Today, Jeff Pu brings more information. He said that Apple’s AR glasses have entered the design and development stage. Also, a prototype model will be displayed by the end of this year and go on mass production in the second half of 2024.
Unlike the previously exposed AR/VR devices, the Apple AR glasses will focus 100% on augmented reality technology. Many analysts even say that it might replace the iPhone within a decade. Thus, it has all chances to become the next big product made by Apple after the iPhone.
In addition to the AR glasses, Jeff Pu also said that one or two iPhone 15 Pro models will be equipped with periscope lenses. We guess the periscope lens will appear on the Max model and not on the Pro version.
