Xiaomi has been in the TV field for many years. And in select markets, such as China and India, it’s the number 1 TV brand. Thus, in the world’s two largest markets, this brand has no rivals. There is no secret behind its success – like other niches, here, it also offers cost-effective products. However, there are models that make our minds blow. For instance, recently, the company launched the Xiaomi TV EA Pro series models. There are three sizes of 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. All three models have been in the booking status. And today, they finally went on sale, starting at 1999 yuan ($298).
- 55 inches – 1999 yuan ($298);
- 65 inches – 2699 yuan ($402);
- 75 inches – 3999 yuan ($595).
In terms of design, the TV sports a full-screen with a simple frame technology of less than 2mm. Also, it has a metal unibody that uses an integrated molding process. So both the frame and the back plate are more integrated.
However, the selling point of the Xiaomi TV EA Pro is the display. Its resolution is 3840×2160, of which the 55-inch version has a screen ratio of 95.1%, the 65-inch version has a screen ratio of 95.8%, and the 75-inch version has a screen ratio of 96.1%. It supports 4K HDR decoding.
At the same time, it supports MEMC motion compensation, 1 billion primary color display, ΔE≈3, and adopts Xiaomi’s self-developed image quality adjustment technology to deeply optimize image performance from the underlying system to hardware configuration.
Inside the beautiful body, we can find built-in high-power stereo speakers that support DTS audio decoding as well as a 15-segment intelligent balanced audio system. The MT9638 chip can handle daily multitasking and high-frequency picture operations smoothly. The memory is 2GB, while the storage is 16GB. Other features include support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and MIUI TV 3.0 system.
Lastly, there are 2*HDMI (including one ARC), 2*USB, AV Input, S/PDIF, Antenna, and network cable interfaces.
