Maybe the Nothing Phone (1) won’t be a revolutionary phone in terms of hardware and innovations, but it’s an ambitious device for sure. Recently, this handset has been on everyone’s lips. As you know, the Nothing brand was founded by the OnePlus ex-founder. And until recently, this has been the only interesting thing about the phone. But today, the company showed the actual look of the upcoming model. And it immediately made a stir on the net. We have to admit that this device doesn’t look identical to other models on the market.
As we can see in the official image, the Nothing Phone (1) will adopt a transparent back panel. However, unlike other similar models launched by other manufacturers previously, it doesn’t really give us a good look at its internals. That’s because the company has covered everything up with textured panels, making the phone have a more aesthetic appeal. Even so, we can see a dual-camera setup in the top-left corner. The sensors are placed vertically in an understated pill-shaped camera island.
Unfortunately, this image doesn’t showcase the phone’s look from the front. But from the back, we can see that the phone packs a wireless charging coil. There is a volume rocker on the left side and a power button on the right side. Also, as the company proves, the Nothing Phone (1) will use consciously chosen materials. We will learn more details at the launch.
Well, from the previous leaks, we learned that the handset will come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip. This is not an officially confirmed news, but if believe various sources, this is the SoC to appear in the handset. As for software, the device will run Nothing’s custom Android skin, called Nothing OS. Of course, it will be based on Android 12.
The Nothing Phone (1) will be announced on July 12. The price is expected to be below $500.
