Huawei is not active in terms of designing new smartphones but it launches other consumer electronics products one after another. For instance, today, a whistleblower Roland Quandt showed Huawei’s new wireless headset, namely the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2. You might think the latter will be a standard TWS headset but it’s not so.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 feature sound optimization by french audio specialist Devialet, up to 47 dB lower ambient noise thanks to stronger ANC and up to 30h battery life (4h w/ ANC, 6,5h w/o on one charge). Available in July for 199 Euro: https://t.co/3Esuvgsapi

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 will cooperate with the French audio brand Devialet. After its tunning, the upcoming Bluetooth headphones will support ANC (active noise cancelation), have a maximum noise reduction depth of 47dB, triple adaptive equalizer, and many more. The headphones have also passed the Hi-Res certification. We are dealing with a top-end product, and in this sense, it’s reasonable to know they have an IP54 waterproof rating. The endurance of the product reaches up to 30 hours on a single charge. A single battery life with noise reduction is 4 hours, and a single battery life with active noise reduction is 6.5 hours.
Generally, our protagonist will focus on bass sound quality and noise reduction. The headset will be available in July, priced at 199 euros.
First-gen Huawei FreeBuds Pro selling points
In September 2020, Huawei launched the world’s first smart dynamic noise-canceling true wireless headset dubbed the Huawei FreeBuds Pro. It adopted hybrid active noise reduction technology. Plus, the design of dual microphones inside and outside the ear could detect the external environment and excess noise in the ear canal accordingly. The coil unit emitted a reverse noise reduction wave for noise reduction, and the maximum noise reduction effect could reach 40dB.
At the same time, the headset had a new intelligent dynamic noise reduction technology, which could quickly identify the type of noise in the wearer’s environment and automatically switch to the matching noise reduction mode.
In terms of battery life, when used with the charging box, the total battery life could reach 36 hours. Plus, the first-gen model supported wired and wireless fast charging as well as reverse charging.
In addition, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro was offering three sizes of soft silicone earbuds. The unique in-ear design and the fit detection function could help the wearer choose the most suitable earbud size.
