Apple is not only planning to modify the design of the front camera of the iPhone 14; model that, let’s remember, this year could come with two holes in the area of the screen, instead of a notch. The Cupertino company would also improve the selfie camera internally.
This information comes from a reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who this time focused on the suppliers chosen by Apple for the components of the front camera. The pitted names are those of Genius and Largan for the lenses, Alps and Luxshare for the autofocus modules, and Cowell with Lg Innotek for the front camera with Sony confirmed for the rear sensors.

Selfie camera of the iPhone 14 still 12MP?
The lenses of the selfie camera will go from five to six, with an aperture that goes from f / 2.2 to 1.9 and there will be autofocus against the old fixed focus system still present today. It is not yet clear what the resolution of the front sensor will be (it is now 12MP), but the improvements anticipated by Kuo translate into better low-light performance as well as more striking portraits thanks to a shallow depth of field.
The selfie camera should be the same on all four new iPhones 14 therefore on the standard and 14 Max as well as on the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max unlike the rear cameras which should remain almost completely unchanged on the two standards – two 12MP of wide-angle and ultra-wide angle type – against the new 48MP sensor with 8K video of the two Pros.
On the other hand, only the iPhone 14 Pro is expected to include a new A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will maintain the A15 Bionic SoC of the current models.
