Apple largely dominates the very high-end tablet market with the iPad Pro. But the current family made up of two 11 and 12.9-inch slates could soon expand with a 14.1-inch model. The news was brought directly by screen practitioners, namely the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) Ross Young, who said that this size will make the new iPad Pro model have the widest screen for the tablet class.
“It is confirmed that there will be a 14.1-inch iPad Pro and is being developed by a source from the supply chain. Later it will be equipped with MiniLED and ProMotion,” Ross said as quoted on his Twitter @DSCCRoss, Sunday, June 12, 2022.
Although it has been confirmed, Ross has not been able to confirm the exact time the iPad Pro will be released. He also predicts that this tablet may appear in early 2023.
Core Specs of the new iPad Pro
Majin Bu, a suspicious Twitter account, had previously stated that Apple was working on a larger 14.1-inch iPad Pro. There are some strong claims from him that shows the new iPad Pro will launch with Apple’s new M2 chip, and also that the base model would have 512GB of storage coupled with 16GB of RAM.
Apart from that, he claims that the new M2 CPU will power the 11-inch iPad Pro, which will be similar to the present model in design. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro will also feature an M2 processor and slimmer bezels, giving it a smaller overall footprint.
