These days, leaks reveal a lot of devices are released, and Motorola gets a lot of leaks about its future devices as well. This time it’s the Motorola Edge 2022, which has been spotted on Geekbench today.
As we can see, the entry of Geekbench reveals that the Motorola Edge 2022 is powered by an octa-core chipset that has 2x CPU cores at 2.50 GHz and 6 CPU cores running at 2.0 GHz. Combined with Mali-G610 GPU. These findings are a good indication that the Edge 2022 is driven by the Dimensity 1050, which was announced by Motorola last month.
This same Geekbench list further reveals that the device is equipped with 8GB RAM and Android 12 OS. He scored 745 points in the single-core test and 2142 points in the Geekbench 5 multi-core test.
Reports have revealed that the Edge 2022 will be equipped with a 6.5-inch pOLED panel that offers Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It will come with 6GB / 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage.
The Motorola Edge 2022 will feature a 32MP selfie camera and a triple camera unit with a 50MP main sensor + OIS capability. There will also be a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth camera. Internally, the device will house a 6000mAh battery, which will likely have support for fast charging. It is also expected to bring stylus support.
Motorola Edge 2022 Renders
@Onleaks (Steve Hemmerstoffer) recently posted the renderings of this device (codenamed Dubai+). It can be seen from them that the power button and volume button are located on the right side. On the front, its panel uses a hole-punch screen design. As you may have guessed, a selfie camera will be placed in the cutout.
On the back, it has a slightly curved design, which should provide a good grip. Besides we can find an oval-shaped rear lens module, while the LED flash is located in the upper right corner. There is also a Motorola logo in the middle of the back and the Motorola brand name on the bottom.
We can also see the USB Type-C interface at the bottom. Overall dimensions are about 160.8 x 74.2 x 8.2mm (including 10.1mm rear camera protrusion).
As of now, we haven’t gotten any further information about the Motorola Edge 2022, but the specs suggest it’s a mid-range model and isn’t expected to exceed last year’s Motorola Edge pricing.
