Xiaomi is working on a smartphone from its flagship Xiaomi 12S series, which is expected to come in two versions, the Xiaomi 12S and the Xiaomi 12S Pro. Rumor has it that the Pro version will be available in both Snapdragon and Dimensity variants.
Now a new Xiaomi phone has appeared in the China 3C authority database. It looks like this device could be the Xiaomi 12S Pro in the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 variant .
As you can see in the image, a Xiaomi smartphone with model number 2206122SC has appeared in the 3C database. The listing reveals that the device may ship with a charger that has a model number of MDY-12-ED. This charger supports up to 120W fast charging (20Vdc, 6A Max). Rumors surrounding the 2206122SC device claim that it could be launched on the market under the name Xiaomi 12S Pro.
Apart from revealing the device’s fast charging capabilities, the 3C certification doesn’t tell us anything else about the upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 version of Xiaomi 12S Pro.
Specifications of the Xiaomi 12S Pro
Previously, the specifications of the phone were also leaked. Some reports suggest that the Xiaomi 12S Pro will be equipped with a 2K QHD + screen, using an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The back of the phone will come with a triple rear camera setup with the main resolution of 50MP and a 32MP selfie camera.
Powering the device is a 4500mAh battery, which supports fast charging with a capacity of 120W via the USB Type-C charging port. In terms of software, the Xiaomi 12S Pro Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 version will most likely launch the MIUI 13 interface based on Android 12 as soon as it ships.
Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro are rumored to launch in China this July and are expected to have a premium flagship Xiaomi 12 Ultra launched at this event as well
