Today is the day when Honor released its next-gen annual flagship series. The latter includes three models – Honor 70 / Pro / Pro+. The price starts at 2699 yuan ($405), but the toppest model costs 4599 yuan ($690).
Honor 70 Pro/ Pro+
We guess the super-sized Honor 70 Pro+ is the model you are most interested in. Like the standard Pro version, it adopts the industry’s first fully symmetrical quad-curved design. In fact, we are talking about a design style that started from the Honor 50. It also has a unique diamond texture and comes at a thickness of only 8.18mm. You can choose from four color variants.
In terms of screen, the Honor 70 Pro series sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, which supports a 120Hz high refresh rate, with a four-gear adjustment. The rest of the screen parameters include a 1.07 billion color display, a 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and hardware-level 10,000-level brightness adjustment. It has passed HDR certification.
Under the hood, the Pro+ hosts the Dimensity 9000 processor, which is MediaTek’s flagship 5G platform. It adopts TSMC’s 4nm process technology. The Pro model sports the Dimensity 8000 chip. Of course, the series supports Honor’s Turbo X, GPU Turbo X, and underlying optimization technologies such as Link Turbo X. Thus, this is not a regular Dimensity 9000 smartphone.
Other than that, the Honor 70 Pro+ is the first to support Honor mobile game GPU super rendering technology. The latter can improve GPU shader performance by 30% and reduce power consumption by 5%.
For selfies, the phone has a 50-megapixel lens, whereas, on the rear, there is a standard IMX800 50-megapixel ultra-high-pixel sensor and the Honor Image Engine Honor computing imaging platform. The latter further improves the ultra-wide-angle shooting capability. Other than that, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, supporting 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, full focal length HDR, etc.
For video recording, the phone supports intelligent focus tracking, horizontal and vertical shooting, dual-channel video high-definition shooting, 1080p 240fps slow motion, etc.
The 4500mAh battery inside the Honor 70 Pro+ supports 100W super-fast charging. Due to it, the battery can be fully charged as fast as 30 minutes.
