A new leak suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra could be made official soon. The device began testing with the stable version of MIUI 13, suggesting an imminent release. But ahead of the launch, a Weibo user Niuwan Technology shared an image of the alleged prototype Mi 12 Ultra which not only shows us what the new device looks like but also reveals information regarding the photographic sector of the same. So, let’s go and see them together.
As we can see in the image, the rear of the device adopts a large module for circular and centered cameras, which as you can see is very similar to the previous renders seen online in recent months. Inside we find a total of four cameras, one of which supports a 120x zoom thanks to its periscope telephoto lens and an additional camera always with a periscope lens, probably with 2x zoom.
In the lower-left corner of the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra’s camera module, there is also a logo of Leica, which confirms the collaboration between Xiaomi and the well-known German camera and lens company.
It is worth noting that, perhaps due to the lack of other identical prototypes, the seller has shared two different smartphones with different designs, we see that the second has only three cameras, instead of four.
At the moment, it is difficult to say whether this will truly be the final design of Xiaomi’s next super flagship, but the smartphone will likely have a very similar design to what we see in these two prototypes.
Specifications and Price of Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra
An insider under the nickname @Shadow_Leak claims that Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra will equip with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset, which is rumored to arrive this month. Not surprisingly, the phone will have a large display.
According to the information received, the panel will be produced using Samsung E5 technology, and its display size is expected to be 6.73 inches and run in 2K mode with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition, the OLED panel will also use LTPO 2.0 technology, rather than the third generation version that Vivo showed off in the X80 Pro model.
