Not long ago, Xiaomi released the Civi 1S. However, frankly speaking, in comparison to the first-gen model, the changes are not significant. For instance, the overall shape of the device remains almost identical to the previous one.
However, if you’re looking forward to a new form factor, the Mi Civi 2 in the works shouldn’t let you down.
As xiaomiui has reported, two new phones were leaked in the Android 13 Beta that Xiaomi opened for download today. The first one is codenamed “ziyi” and has a model 2209129SC (L9S), whereas the second mode has a codename “caiwei” and a model number 2210129SG (L9D). The source is sure that these phones correspond to the Xiaomi Civi 2 and the Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite 5G NE. In fact, these two are the same. But if the former one will be launched in the Chinese market, the second model will go on sale internationally.
Not only that, the code also gives the main parameters of the Xiaomi Civi 2/12 Lite 5G NE, including a 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, three cameras, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 1
As for the latter, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 adopts Samsung’s 4nm process and consists of 4 large cores and 4 small cores. The large core is the ARM Cortex A710, which clocks at 2361MHz; the small core is the ARM Cortex A510 with a CPU frequency of 1804MHz. The chip also integrates an Adreno 662 GPU at 1804MHz.
Compared with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 does not have the ultra-large core Cortex X2, and the main frequency of the large core is also reduced. This is a low-power chip positioned at the mid-range. In terms of benchmark scores, the single-core score of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is 712 and the multi-core score is 2385. This is not much different from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G’s points in GeekBench.
In terms of shape, the Xiaomi Civi 2 / 12 Lite can be regarded the lightened version of the Xiaomi Mi 12. Plus, it differs from the past two models externally.
