Samsung has been betting on folding smartphones as a market trend and is about to launch another generation of its folded models. Now, new unofficial information has emerged about the format of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has emerged.

It is Ice Universe to share some interesting details on the net about what could be the Galaxy Z Fold 4 form factor. Specifically, the leaker reveals that the Samsung folding will be slightly wider and lower than the current generation. A matter of millimeters, however, is sufficient to make the device more square, just as previously assumed.

In practice, the smartphone will receive the main screen with an aspect ratio of 6:5 against the current 5:4, and the external one will be characterized by a ratio of 23:9 against 24.5:9 in Fold 3.

With this, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 can have its height reduced, which would be compensated with a greater width. The brand’s idea would be to facilitate the use of certain applications that are based on the orientation of the cell phone, in addition to making usability more comfortable.

The new displays should also feature some improvements, such as a more improved typing experience compared to the Z Fold 3, which tends to lead the user to frequent errors.

Other rumors also point out that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 should bring a set of cameras very similar to what is present in the S22 Ultra, with only the absence of a periscope telephoto lens, perhaps due to the lack of space on the device.

Ice Universe is then 100% convinced in talking about the battery for both devices: according to the leaker, the battery of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have a capacity of 4400mAh (identical to that of the previous model), while that of Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be 3700mAh (slightly larger than the Z Flip 3, which had a 3300mAh battery).

As for other specs, the upcoming foldable duo is expected to pack Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus (SM8475) SoC, despite the size reduction. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to be released in the second half of this year and it will be available in beige, black, and gray colors.
