Google Pixel 6a Production Begins and Presentation Imminent | Rumor

Several leaks related to the Google Pixel 6a release window have pointed towards a release of the smartphone in May, which suggests that its presentation is already set for the Google I / O on 11 and 12 May next, although it probably won’t go on sale until July 28.

Today, to corroborate this hypothesis is the well-known leaker Mukul Sharma, who explained that the production of Google Pixel 6a has started in various Asian countries and that therefore it would not miss much at the beginning of its sales.

Google Pixel 6a is already in the factories. What to expect?

According to the latest reports, the production of new smartphones has also started. Google is looking to bring the new model to more markets than it did with the Pixel 5a. That phone was officially available for purchase only in Japan and the USA.

According to the leaks so far, the Google Pixel 6a is expected to return to the Pixel 6 design, which means we can expect a horizontal camera bar and a punch-hole in the middle. The phone is estimated to have a 6.2-inch display and smaller overall dimensions than the Pixel 6.

The handset will likely retain the 12.2MP main camera of its predecessor but may get a 12MP Pixel 6 ultrawide module as well as an 8MP selfie camera. This could help it become the best budget camera phone of the year.

The phone is expected to run on the same internal Tensor chip as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro and the leaked benchmark scores suggest that Google has optimized the chip to improve performance. The SoC will probably be mated to at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Pricing is still unknown and it’s hard to guess whether this phone will cost more than the Pixel 5a, which retails for US$449, as the Google Pixel 6a will have a flagship chip, a new design, and a better camera.

It is also not known what price to expect, but Google should not increase it. Google Pixel 5a cost $449. Direct competitors in the US market, which is the most important for the Pixel series, cost $429 (Apple iPhone SE 3) and $449 (Samsung Galaxy A53).
