Samsung dominates in the folding screen smartphones market. But more and more manufacturers are joining the race. So there is every reason to think that in the future, due to the saturation and higher competition, Samsung won’t look so attractive in this niche. In this regard, we should not only look toward the China-based first-tier smartphone makers but towards Apple and Motorola as well. Especially, the latter has been at the forefront of folding screen mobile phones. And we are waiting for new models from this brand as well. Today, 91Mobiles released a couple of spy photos disclosing the actual look of the upcoming Motorola folding screen smartphone. The phone is codenamed the Motorola Maven.

Compared to its previous Razr or Razr 5G, the Motorola Maven has an appearance closer to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Moreover, compared to its predecessor, the Motorola Maven is slightly squarer. Although the chin of the phone is not seen in the picture, we can assume that the Razr’s iconic chin has been removed and the fingerprint sensor has been integrated into the power button.
Motorola Maven Foldable Phone Specs
The Motorola Maven folding screen smartphone will use two rear cameras to improve the imaging effect. Its specs include a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera lens and a 13-megapixel wide-angle and macro combo sensor. The punch hole on the FHD+ folding screen hosts a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
Initially, the phone has been planned to come in two versions: one equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 processor, and the other the Plus version (SM8475). However, due to the delayed delivery of the SM8475, it is unclear when Motorola plans to adopt the SM8475 and whether it still plans to launch two models. In addition, the new machine will use 8GB or 12GB of memory and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The first market it will land in is assumed to be China. The release date is rumored to be the end of July or early August. The phone will offer two colors of Quartz Black and Tranquility Blue. After this, the handset will go on sale globally.
