Say, today, the manufacturer published a new poster on its Weibo channel, informing us that the Axon series mobile phones will be equipped with an independent security chip. Simply put, the phone will be able to provide users with hardware-level security protection. Usually, this feature is a must for business smartphones.
Although ZTE has not provided specific functional information about this security chip, there is every reason to think that it will have a high performance and won’t disappoint users.
Another highlight of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra is the under-screen camera technology. Thus, it could achieve a full-screen effect with no openings. When looking at the front of the handset, no selfie camera will be visible. Thus, in comparison to the first two generations, this version comes with tons of improvements and due to them, the front camera is completely hidden.
As said, on the rear, the Axon 40 Ultra will host a triple-camera with three 64-megapixel lenses. They all support 8K ultra-high-definition video shooting.
Under the hood, the Axon 40 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. So we are talking about the most powerful ZTE phone to date.
As you understand, the series will include a few models. They are the ZTE Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra.
ZTE Axon 40 Pro Camera
A few days ago, ZTE announced the camera specifications of the Pro version. From the official introduction, we learned that the ZTE Axon 40 Pro will have a 100-megapixel high-definition main camera. Apart from this, there will be three other lenses.
As a reference, the rear camera of ZTE’s previous model Axon 30 Pro uses a 1/1.73-inch outsole 64-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX682), an ultra-wide-angle 64-megapixel Samsung S5KGW3 1/1.97-inch lens, a 3cm macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field blur lens.
This year’s Axon 40 Pro will increase the main camera resolution to 100MP. It is expected that the sensor will use the more mature 1.08MP Samsung CMOS, and will add OIS (optical image stabilization). The other three lenses will remain unchanged.
