Recently, the Redmi Pad 5 has appeared in various leaks and rumors. According to them, this budget-friendly tablet will land in India very soon. Interestingly, we haven’t heard anything official about this tablet. But this doesn’t mean that we would sit tight and don’t try to find some info.
From the latest reports, we can learn that the Redmi Pad 5 will have a set of quite interesting features. Also, we have a rumored launch date. What’s more important, being a Redmi product allows the company to set a lower price than its founding father, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5. As you know, the latter has been on the market for a while. And it’s attributed to be one of the best rivals to the iPad mini. For instance, this tablet comes with a 10.95-inch 2.5K+ display and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Recently, a tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) said that the Redmi Pad 5 could soon arrive in India. As this source usually provides reliable info, there is every reason to think this time his information will be accurate as well.

Well, as for the price tags, the Redmi Pad 5 should come at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,100, $302) in China. As a reference, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is offered in India at Rs. 26,999 ($353). Thus, the price of around $300 is quite reasonable.
Redmi Pad 5 Specs
When it comes to the specs list, the Redmi Pad 5 should be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. Thus, most likely, this tablet will support a 5G network. Moreover, it should support both SA and NSA 5G modes.
Other than that, there must be an ultra-linear quad-speaker. Usually, such products offer good features for gaming. However, the display’s refresh rate is assumed to be dropped to 90Hz. Unfortunately, there is no hint at the battery size. But the latter is going to support 30W ultra-fast charging. We assume the tablet will run on the MIUI PadOS 13.
Lastly, we’d like to recall the key features of the already-offered Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 in order to understand what differences there could be. For instance, the tablet is equipped with a Snapdragon 860 SoC paired with an Adreno 640 GPU. Also, it comes with an 11-inch 10.95-inch 2.5K+ (2,560×1,600 pixels) display. The rear camera has a 13-megapixel resolution, while the selfie shooter can capture photos at 8-megapixel. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 features an 8,720mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
