Each of us has been in a situation when we want to take a selfie but there is no one to ask. Snapchat, which is one of the most popular platforms that allows users to use various filters for their photos, has launched a mini drone for those cases. In fact, the Pixy comes our way from Snap, the parent company of Snapchat. The mini drone will be available in select markets for only $229.99.

In fact, the Snap Pixy is not a regular drone, as it doesn’t come with a controller or an SD card. That’s because the manufacturer has removed all “unnecessary” features so that it’s easy to pick up and get started. There is only a single button to activate the drone and a camera dial to select the flying mode.
The Snap Pixy offers four preconfigured flight paths, such as floating, orbiting around you or following you as you walk or run, etc.

To tell the drone to stop recording, you just have to place your hand below it. In effect, the Snap Pixy will automatically land in the palm of your hand.
When it comes to features, the Snap Pixy is capable of recording 2.7K videos and 12 MP photos. Also, our protagonist is very lightweight as it only weighs 101 g with the replaceable battery. When fully charged, it can have 5-8 flights.
Well, this is a Snap product. So that’s reasonable that it will cooperate with Snapchat. Once this drone finishes shooting, you can open the recorded video through Snapchat on your phone. By default, they are stored in your Snapchat Memories. Thus, you can do all ordinary operations with them such as viewing, editing, sending, and sharing.
