We’ve been talking about OnePlus’ upcoming mid-rangers for a long time. They are finally out. The OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G were released globally. Among them, the OnePlus 10R is the global version of the OnePlus Ace launched in China last week.
Like the OnePlus Ace, the OnePlus 10R also has two versions with different battery capacities. The first model supports 150W SUPERVOOC fast charging and comes with a 4500mAh battery as well as a 150W USB-C charger. This phone can reach 30% of power in 3 minutes and 100% in just 17 minutes.
As for the regular version, it comes with an 80W SUPERVOOC flash charging support and a 5000mAh battery that can be charged from 1% to 100% in 32 minutes. Both versions of the OnePlus 10R are powered by a custom smart charging chip that also provides smart battery health algorithms and repair technology to ensure that the 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition can maintain 80% battery capacity after 1600 charge cycles. This is twice more than the industry’s standard.
The OnePlus 10R uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max processor, which is specially customized for OnePlus. The company said that the Cortex-A78 core can reach 2.85GHz, which is faster than the 2.75GHz clock speed of the regular version. The chipset is paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. Also, the phone features a 3D passive cooling system.
The OnePlus 10R sports a 6.7-inch 1080×2412 resolution AMOLED screen with a variable 120Hz refresh rate and a 730Hz touch response rate.
On the back, the camera module includes a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main sensors of the Sony IMX766 1/1.56″ CMOS with PDAF focus. There is also an 8-megapixel fixed-focus ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel dedicated macro lens. The selfie shooter on the front has a 16MP resolution.
The OnePlus 10R runs Oxygen OS 12.1 based on Android 12. OnePlus promises 3 major Android version updates and 4 years of security updates.
Our protagonist will be available from OnePlus’ website, Amazon, Reliance stores, Chroma stores and some partner stores starting May 4. The standard 80W version of the 8/128GB model is 38,999 Indian rupees ($510), 12/256GB model is 42999 Indian rupees ($562), whereas the 150W OnePlus 10R is only available in Sierra Black and 12/256GB version, and the price is 43,999 Indian rupees ($576).
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G uses the Snapdragon 695 processor, a 6.58-inch IPS LCD (120Hz) screen, and cancels the 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, leaving only a 64-megapixel main camera and two 2-megapixel cameras. The camera on the front has the same 16MP resolution. Lastly, the built-in 5,000mAh battery supports a 33W SUPERVOOC charging.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will go on sale on April 30 through OnePlus website, Amazon, Reliance, Chrome and partner retailers, priced at INR 19,999 ($261) for the 6/128GB model and 21999 Indian rupees ($288) for the 8/128GB model.
