Apart from releasing the VIVO X Fold and the VIVO Pad, the manufacturer also released the new VIVO X Note, a large screen smartphone.
VIVO X Note Display
As the name implies, the biggest highlight of the phone is the 7-inch OLED screen. Currently, mainstream mobile phones come with around a 6.6-inch screen. In this sense, only the size of the foldable smartphones’ screens can be larger. So the VIVO X Note has been designed for those who want Godzilla-size smartphones. At the same time, the phone’s weight is 216g (plain leather) and the thickness is 8.75mm. VIVO has specially optimized the center of gravity so that there will be no falling feeling.
What’s more important, because of the large screen size, its resolution isn’t affected at all. Moreover, the screen of the VIVO X Note has almost reached the ceiling level in the industry. The hyperboloid screen made of Samsung E5 material has a golden width ratio of 21:10 and a resolution of 3080×1440. So not surprisingly, it obtained 16 Display Mate A+ certificates.
At the same time, VIVO X Note supports LTPO adaptive refresh 3.0 technology, which outputs the corresponding refresh rate from the system side. The display refresh rate follows the system refresh rate to achieve full-channel refresh rate adaptation, and the power consumption reduction effect is better.
Another highlight is the 3D large-area ultrasonic fingerprint recognition module. The fingerprint recognition area is 11.1 times that of a single-point photoelectric fingerprint scanner, and the recognition area is as high as 578mm².
VIVO X Note Performance
Inside, this phone hosts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chip. It uses an advanced 4nm MEP process technology, and integrates an Adreno730 GPU and a Snapdragon X65 5G baseband. Apart from this, the phone comes with UFS3.1 and LPDDR5 memory options, which can expand the 12GB memory to an equivalent 16GB through the memory fusion 2.0 feature.
Other than that, the phone hides a self-developed V1 chip, which is independent of the GPU and has a built-in super-quality AI system to achieve professional-level visual enhancement in imaging, display, games, and other aspects. At the same time, it’s capable of reducing the GPU load as well as the power consumption. In effect, it will achieve better imaging effects and provide a game frame insertion experience.
The VIVO X Note has a built-in 5000mAh large battery, which is enough to continuously play games for 7 hours, listen to music with headphones for 52 hours, and watch videos for 12.8 hours. This battery also supports 80W wired flash charging, 50W wireless flash charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging. It can be fully charged in half in 12 minutes, and fully in less than 35 minutes.
VIVO X Note Camera
The VIVO X Note sports a Zeiss quad-camera module, with specifications of a 50-megapixel OIS ultra-large bottom main camera, 48-megapixel 114° ultra-wide-angle main lens, 12-megapixel professional portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel 60x OIS periscope super-telephoto lens. All lenses come standard with Zeiss T* coating certification.
The main camera is the Samsung GN1 flagship sensor, with a 1/1.31″ outsole, and the periscope telephoto lens supports 5x optical zoom. Both lenses support OIS (optical image stabilization). With the EIS hybrid image stabilization algorithm, it can also provide users with excellent performance in multiple scenes.
In addition to hardware, VIVO cooperated with Zeiss to simulate the imaging style of Zeiss’ first digital camera ZX1, and jointly developed the “Zeiss Natural Color” mode, which restores the color style seen by the human eye.
It also supports Zeiss Super Night Scene to achieve the effect of shooting pure night scenes, reducing stray light, glare, and “harmful” light and restoring pure night color.
What Else?
In other aspects, the VIVO X Note has an IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating, infrared remote control, independent HiFi chip, X-axis linear motor, and many more.
Lastly, there is a physical mute button. This is the first time that the VIVO system comes with a mute button. The button is ergonomically designed. It is toggled vertically through the dual Hall sensor + magnet form. Just toggle down to turn on the mute mode.
