In a few days, on April 11, VIVO will hold a product launch event and uncover several much-anticipated products. Among them, the VIVO X Fold folding screen smartphone and the VIVO X Note large-screen smartphone are in the spotlight. As the release date is around the corner, it’s logical the promotion of these phones has been intensified. Moreover, they have begun to appear on various benchmark platforms.
VIVO X Fold
Earlier today, this folding screen smartphone appeared in the GeekBench database. The screenshot displays that the phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 chip, 12GB RAM, and run on the Android 12 system. In the benchmark, the single-core score is 1239, while the multi-core score is 3535.
Based on the current known information, the VIVO X Fold adopts a dual-screen design. The back outer screen has a hyperboloid design. The front camera is placed in the hole, which is in the upper middle area of the screen. In effect, the screen ratio is extremely high. Apart from this, the display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, and the curved screen also ensure better grip after folding.
Generally, the large internal screen is an 8-inch 2K E5 LTPO UTG screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This is also the highest specification screen in the current folding screen phone market. It supports ultrasonic fingerprint recognition on the left half of the screen. Thus, we are dealing with the world’s first foldable smartphone that uses ultrasonic fingerprint recognition.
The camera is also another highlight of the phone. It sports a 50MP 1/1.5″ main camera + 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 12MP 2x telephoto lens + 8MP 5x full-focus lens. Of course, the Zeiss image co-branding and T* coating are not absent. So we think it will become the most powerful camera on a folding screen smartphone.
Lastly, there is a built-in 4600mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging + 50W wireless fast charging. Not surprisingly, this is also the best charging solution in the folding screen smartphones market at the moment.
VIVO X Note
The VIVO X Note will come with a 7-inch large screen, while inside, the phone will carry the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
As the company proves, under the hood, the handset will also host a 5000mAh battery with support for 80W dual-cell flash charging and 50W wireless flash charging.
One of the most interesting features of the VIVO X Note is the move of the center of gravity to the center. Also, it is the first to use an integrated arch bridge structure design as well as to come with an exclusive SPU chip-level security and privacy protection.
Judging from the poster, the VIVO X Note will also have an imaging system jointly designed by Zeiss, with the same “round sky” matrix arrangement at the rear, including at least a telephoto lens.
However, the biggest selling point of the device will be the large screen. The 7-inch 2K E5 screen will use a 3D ultrasonic wide-area fingerprint scanner. Lastly, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip will be paired with 12+512GB or 12+256GB storage options.
