Today, the newly-announced Redmi AX6000 router went on sale. We decided to take a look at this AIoT product because it’s believed to be one of the most powerful routers on the market. By the way, we are dealing with a Redmi product. So it’s not surprising to see that the router is available for 499 yuan only. It converts to $78. The price is low but you don’t have to doubt its performance.
The Redmi AX6000 router adopts an 8-data stream design. At the same time, our protagonist supports a 160MHz bandwidth and has a 6000-megabit wireless speed (more precisely, 5952Mbps). Compared with the AX3000 model, the speed is doubled, the power is doubled, and the coverage distance is increased by 40%.
Officially, the AX6000 router is Redmi’s first router equipped with an 8-channel signal amplifier. Moreover, inside, it carries a MediaTek Filogic 830 quad-core processor with a single-core frequency of up to 2GHz. Plus, there is 512MB of memory to support 248 devices online at the same time.
As for interfaces, this router comes with four adaptive network ports, supports LAN port aggregation, and can also set the network port as an IPTV port. Of course, it supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi connectivity.
The router has a black shape, a minimalist design, and four external antennas.
Though the name of this router is identical to the Xiaomi router, there are some differences. For instance, the Xiaomi AX6000 comes with seven powerful antennas. Due to the WiFi 6 support, it can offer a maximum theoretical speed of up to 6000 Mbps. Agree that both routers are ideal for gamers.
Another difference is the high-end Qualcomm IPQ5018 chip with a new 1,0 GHz NPU core that solves network congestion, and packet loss for multiple connected devices and also reduces latency when playing online games.
The memory capacity is the same, 512MB. Plus, this router has the ability to connect up to 248 devices at the same time.
The routers support IPv6, WP3 standard, and intelligent frequency switching and signal enhancement between rooms.
