Yesterday, the South Korean based first-tier tech company Samsung Electronics launched two types of 2022 soundbars in the domestic market. The products we are talking about are the top model ‘Q series’ HW-Q990B and the ‘super slim soundbar’ HW-S800B with an ultra-slim design.
Samsung HW-Q990B Sound Bar
The Q series HW-Q990B provides 3D surround sound by applying 11.1.4 channel speakers and ‘Dolby Atmos’. Also, it applies the improved ‘Q-Symphony’ function.
Q Symphony is Samsung’s proprietary technology that realizes optimal surround sound by using the speakers installed on both devices at the same time when a TV and a sound bar are connected.
When connected to a Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV (QN900B series), it utilizes up to 22 channels (16 channels of sound bar + 6 channels of TV) speakers to realize overwhelming 3D stereophonic sound. This is unprecedented.
In addition, it has a built-in function to connect the sound bar to the Samsung TV in 2022 through Wi-Fi without a separate HDMI cable. So you can enjoy Dolby Atmos 3D spatial sound wirelessly. Plus, it comes with both SpaceFi sound and Auto EQ functions.
The product adopts a premium design, coming with metal materials that are in line with the improved performance.
There is also a LED to display status.
Samsung HW-S800B Sound Bar
The super slim soundbar HW-S800B features an ultra-slim design of 38mm in height and 40mm in thickness, and is in harmony with the design of premium TVs.
In particular, when hung on the wall with Samsung’s “Frame” series, it does not protrude and can complete an interior that goes well with any space. It is available in two colors: black and white.
Although the sound bar is super slim, it has two top speakers on the left and right sides and implements 3.1.2 channels. So you can experience the powerful surround sound of Dolby Atmos.
Samsung Electronics established Samsung Audio Lab in California, USA at the end of 2013 by gathering the best experts in the industry and has been working hard to realize the best sound.
Samsung Electronics plans to introduce more than 13 new models in the domestic market in the first half of the year, including the Q series and super slim soundbar.
The factory price of the new product is 1.89 million won for the HW-Q990B ($1,555) and 899,000 won ($740) for the HW-S800B.
