Earlier today, GSMArena reported that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite (model number 2203129G) appeared on the GeekBench website.
Snapdragon 778G And More
The GeekBench benchmark website shows that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. It is the only model in the Xiaomi Mi 12 series that uses the Snapdragon 7 series chip. Thus, we are dealing with a classic mid-range smartphone, while other models are positioning as high-end models. It also comes with 8GB of memory and runs Android 12 out of the box. Thus, likely, it will come with MIUI 13.
As we know too little about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite, it’s better to focus on what we know for sure. For instance, as said, it will feature the Snapdragon 778G chip. The latter adopts TSMC’s 6nm process. The CPU consists of a 1 CortexA78 large core at 2.4GHz, 3 CortexA78 large cores at 2.2GHz, and 4 A55 small cores at 1.9GHz.
Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite Specs
In addition, the leaked information shows that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite uses an OLED flexible screen with a resolution of 2400×1080, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a rear 64MP AI triple camera. The latter will use the Samsung ISOCELL GW3 CMOS. Apart from the main sensor, there will be ultra-wide and macro lenses to help the camera take amazing photos in various conditions. Unfortunately, none of them supports OIS (optical image stabilization).
From other sources, we can learn that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite will feature a 6.55-inch 3D curved OLED screen. Apart from the mentioned parameters, it will also support FOD as well as on-screen fingerprint recognition.
Interestingly, prior to this, the Xiaomi product manager previously said that the Xiaomi Mi 12 series does not have a Lite version. But he issued this statement when talking to Mi fans in China. So there is every reason to think that our protagonist won’t hit the Chinese stores. Instead, it will go on sale in international markets.
The benchmark results were in line with other phones using the same chip. It scored 778 points in the single-core test, and 2864 points in the multi-core test.
As a reference, last year, Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 Lite 5G/4G phone. However, we think this year’s model will have a single version, the 5G-enabled variant.
