Today, VIVO shared a few pieces of noteworthy information. First, it showed the actual look of the upcoming VIVO Pad, the company’s first tablet. Then, it confirmed that the first folding screen smartphone of the company is one the way. Moreover, it will hit the market next Monday, March 28. Tough the VIVO X Fold is shown on the poster, there is every reason to think that the manufacturer will introduce another much-anticipated smartphone dubbed the VIVO X Note.
Previously, we learned that the code name of the OPPO folding screen mobile phone is “Peacock” and the code name of the VIVO folding screen mobile phone is “Butterfly”. In this regard, the poster is in line with the phone’s internal name.
In fact, these are not going to be the only high-end smartphones of the manufacturer. VIVO is said to launch 4 Snapdragon 8 Gen1 flagships and 2 Dimensity 9000 flagship models, covering mid-end high-end folding screen and large-screen segments. Moreover, all these models will be available within a month. If believing this rumor, those phones should be the VIVO X Note, VIVO X Fold, X80, X80 Pro, etc. Though mentioned only four models, it’s not difficult to guess that other two might come our way from VIVO’s sub-brand, iQOO.
What do we know about the upcoming VIVO phones?
Judging from the information announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the VIVO X80 will sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ resolution OLED curved screen, equipped with a 4500mAh dual-cell battery, which will support 80W wired fast charging, and be 8.3mm thick.
The VIVO X80 Pro will come with a 6.78-inch QHD+ resolution OLED curved screen, 4700mAh battery supporting the same 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, and be 9.1mm thick.
The folding screen phone namely VIVO X Fold will feature a 6.53-inch FHD+ resolution OLED single-punch curved external screen, 4600mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, and the thickness is only 6.28mm.
Finally, the VIVO X Note is the much-rumored VIVO Nex 5. Due to its large screen of 7 inches, the manufacturer has decided to rename it. The display will use an E5 OLED panel that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, we will find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor as well as a 5,000mAh battery, which is going to effectively partner with the 80W charger. And we also know that the phone will come with a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 primary camera, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 lens, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 camera, and a 12-megapixel OmniVision OV08A10 camera with 5x zoom support.
