Today, one of the famous Weibo tipsters revealed that Lenovo Legion team and Motorola department have finalized development of new smartphones. They will come with a SM8475 chip and go on mass production quite soon.
Among them, Motorola’s new flagship uses a 6.67-inch FHD+ resolution OLED screen, which will also support a 144Hz refresh rate and adopt a single-hole curved screen design. On the front, in the dedicated notch, the phone will host a 60MP selfie shooter. What’s more interesting, on the back, the handset will carry a 194MP 1/1.5″ main camera. As you guess, we are dealing with a premium smartphone. So that’s logical to know that the rest of the key features will support 125W wired fast charging and 30 /50W wireless fast charging as well.
As for the Lenovo Legion model, it will sport many features identical to those of the Motorola model. Thus, it still will sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ resolution screen. The latter will also boast a 144Hz refresh rate, use an OLED material, and have a single-hole straight screen design. Thus, the only difference is the screen type – curved and straight. However, the rest of the specs don’t have anything in common. For instance, the front camera has only a 16MP resolution. The rear camera setup will include a 50MP main camera sensor. As for battery and charging, the Lenovo Legion phone will support 68W fast charging and come with a built-in 5000mAh battery.
What We Knew About Forthcoming Motorola Smartphone
As a reminder, in January of this year, WinFuture exposed Motorola’s flagship phone codenamed Frontier 22. The phone ought to come with a 144 Hz refresh rate display, a 200-megapixel camera, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 “Plus” chip (TSMC-manufactured SM8475).
According to this source, the “Frontier 22” smartphone will be available in July 2022. Apart from the faster variant of the Qualcomm chip, it will also sport up to 12GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and 256GB of UFS 3.1 native storage.
Motorola’s “Frontier 22” will be a new generation of flagship mobile phones. It will come with a 6.67-inch 20:9 FullHD+ resolution 144Hz refresh rate micro-curved OLED display, covering the DCI-P3 color space and supporting HDR10+.
According to the previous rumors, it should sport a 200MP main camera + 50MP wide-angle lens (maybe ultra-wide-angle) + 12MP telephoto lens, and a front punched 60MP lens.
Other key data include Wi-Fi 6E, USB-C, Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM card support and off-screen fingerprints, Android 12, 4500mAh battery, 125W wired fast charge, 50W wireless fast charge, and so on.
As you see, there are certain differences between these two. So we have to wait more before getting official information.
