OnePlus has changed its business model long ago. If previously, it was a premium smartphone brand, now, it designs smart TVs, mid-range smartphones, and many more. Also, it made some adjustments in terms of target markets. Say, if not that long ago, it was mainly selling its smartphones in European countries, now, India has become one of the most important markets for the manufacturer. In this sense, you should know that it will release a number of new smartphones in India in the coming few months.
Among them, we can mention the top-notch OnePlus 10 Pro, the much-talked OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, Nord 2T, and maybe the Nord 3 as well. As you can see, there are a few models from the Nord series. But according to 91mobiles, the company is going to add other products to this series.
Prior to this, the same source said that OnePlus is working on the Nord TWS earbuds. Now, they say quote a tipster Yogesh Brar, who proves that OnePlus is also working on a Nord smartwatch. Moreover, the latter should hit the stores with the OnePlus Nord 3 in the second half of this year.
The tipster said that the OnePlus Nord smartwatch will cost less than Rs 10,000, most likely between Rs 5,000 and Rs 8,000. There is every reason to think that it will come with a color touchscreen display and other standard features such as heart rate sensor, SpO2 monitor, sleep tracking, step count, smartphone notifications, music control, etc. However, these are just assumptions.
Well, we are talking about a smartwatch that has no official name at the moment. We just guess that will be called the OnePlus Nord Smartwatch.
Interestingly, this is not the firsts smartwatch of the company. It’s just the first smartwatch under the Nord brand. At the moment, OnePlus is selling the OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Band in India. The former wearable costs Rs 14,999, which is not cheap at all. So this is quite logical that the company will release a more affordable smartwatch under a line that already offers affordable phones.
As said, India is a target market for OnePlus. It has recently launched the OnePlus TV Y1s and Y1s Edge. Moreover, the TV Y1s Edge Pro is on the road. So we can say that many models will debut in India, and only after that land in other markets as well.
