Once Lenovo acquired Motorola’s smartphone business, the latter began making amazing smartphones. What’s more important, those phones have been capable of competing with the top brands. In last two-three years, Motorola has surpassed its main rivals and begun releasing the first smartphones with the new Snapdragon 8 chips. This year wasn’t an exception. However, this brand not only designs top-end models but also handsets that are aiming at larger masses. In this sense, the upcoming Moto G 5G phone is going to sell like hotcakes. Today, OnLeaks jointly with Prepp.in to show the renders of Motorola’s new phone codenamed “Austin”. As you guess, we are talking about the phone called Moto G 5G (2022).

The source also said that the Motorola Moto G 5G (2022) has a model number XT2213 and its screen measures 6.6 inches diagonally. The smartphone uses the Snapdragon 750G SoC and runs the Android 11 system. By the way, Google has released a developer preview of the Android 13 system.
From the renders, we can see that the Moto G 5G (2022) has volume rockers and a power button on the right side. The latter can be used as a fingerprint recognition button. The mentioned sources say that the Moto G 5G (2022) is 9.3mm thick (10.7mm with the camera bump) and is expected to come with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage (expandable to 512GB), and a 5,000mAh battery.
As for the rest of the features we know at the moment, the machine will come with a rear 50-megapixel main camera, supplemented by 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras. The former may be an ultra-wide-angle camera, and the latter is a macro/depth unit.
The Motorola Moto G 5G (2022) is expected to be available in Volcanic Ash and Frosted Silver color options. However, this phone will not be launched soon. Its possible launch date is June and in India it should start at INR 22,990. The latter converts to $303. Thus, we are dealing with an affordable mid-range that will boast a few amazing features such as the latest operating system from Google.
