Today, following the schedule, Xiaomi’s ex-brand uncovered the Redmi K50 series smartphones, namely the Redmi K50 and the Redmi K50 Pro were officially released.
Redmi K50 Features and Price
The Redmi K50 is the world’s premier of the Dimensity 8100 chip. The latter is also one of the biggest highlights of the machine. This SoC adopts TSMC’s 5nm process and consists of 4 Cortex A78 large cores with a CPU frequency of 2.85GHz and 4 Cortex A55 small cores at a frequency of 2.0GHz. It outruns the Snapdragon 888 in AnTuTu.
In addition to the first Dimensity 8100 chip, the Redmi K50 also features a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED flexible straight screen with a resolution of 3200×1440, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and supports ambient color temperature adaptation.
By the way, this is Redmi’s first 2K flagship. Compared with FHD, the 2K screen has doubled pixels and doubled the definition. Secondly, the straight screen has a good feel and adjustment.
In terms of photography, the Redmi K50 standard version comes with a rear 48MP Sony IMX582 main sensor, which supports OIS. Apart from this, there is also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens as well as a 2MP macro lens. The front camera has a 20MP resolution.

The Redmi K50 8GB+128GB is priced at 2,399 yuan ($378), 8GB+256GB is priced at 2,599 yuan ($409), and 12GB+256GB is priced at 2,799 yuan ($). It will start shipping on March 22.
Redmi K50 Pro Features and Price
Besides the vanilla version, the manufacturer also announced the Pro variant of the Redmi K50 series.
It sports the same chip as the OPPO Find X5 Pro, the Dimensity 9000. There is also a 3950mm² super large VC liquid cooling + 7-layer graphite system.
The screen doesn’t yield the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro. So it got the A+ certification and broke 16 screen records.
Unlike the standard version, its battery is 5000mAh and supports a 120W fast charging due to the in-house-made “Surge P1” charging chip. Thanks to them, the battery will get 100% of power in 19 minutes only.
On the back, this phone carries a 100-megapixel Samsung S5KHM2 main sensor with OIS support as well as a 1/1.52″ outsole. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The front of the machine carries a 20MP camera.
In addition, Redmi K50 Pro has up to 512GB storage and uses LPDDR5 + UFS3.1 combination, as well as Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6 160MHz, precise navigation, Dolby stereo dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, multi-function NFC, etc.
