Last year Motorola, powered by the world’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor; launched the Moto Edge X30 flagship smartphone as its first smartphone. Now, the company will launch a new model of the phone called the Motorola Edge X30 Under Screen Edition and it will be launched this week on March 17th. But before the launch of the phone, a Lenovo executive released a live image of this phone.
As you can see in the picture, there are really no holes in the screen of this device. So, the rumors that Lenovo will be the next brand to offer a smartphone with a camera under the screen are true. Earlier, a Motorola smartphone with the model number XT2201-6 was licensed to access the network. We guess this model number is related to the new version of Edge X30.
As GizChina points out, the Motorola Edge X30 Under Screen is no different from the standard version except for the selfie camera under the screen. So the selfie camera will still have a resolution of 60MP and also supports face recognition technology. The same Lenovo executive who released this image claims that the accuracy of the face recognition technology of the camera version under the screen of the Motorola Edge X30 will be higher than all similar models.
Expected Specs of Motorola Edge X30 Under Screen Edition
Recall that the standard model Moto Edge X30 (pictured) is endowed with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 6.7-inch FHD + OLED screen, a triple camera in a configuration of 50 + 50 + 2MP, and a 60MP front camera. The capacity of the flash drive reaches 256GB.
The Motorola Edge X30 Under Screen Edition will reportedly have a front-facing camera hidden directly behind the screen. The size of the latter will allegedly continue to be 6.7 inches, the refresh rate is 144 Hz. We are talking about the presence of an on-screen fingerprint scanner. Support for HDR10+ and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space are mentioned.
The novelty will receive a flash drive with a capacity of up to 512GB. The amount of RAM will be up to 12GB. The equipment will include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and a triple camera with a 50MP main sensor. The official presentation of the Motorola Edge X30 Under Screen Edition will take place on March 17th. The smartphone will ship with the Android 12 operating system.
