OnePlus will release at least two smartphones in the Nord series. One of them is believed to be the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, while the second model will be called the Nord 2T. Earlier this week, 91mobiles exclusively revealed the first look at the OnePlus Nord 2T. Now, it’s the turn of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. The photos come our way from the same source.
These renders show what design will the phone adopt. But there is every reason to think that the final product might come with slightly different design elements. Say, from the renders, we can assume where the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will carry the fingerprint sensor placement, what a look the rear panel will have, what an arrangement the rear camera sensor will have, where the SIM tray will be, and so on.
Well, let’s get into details. Unlike the sandstone finish on the Nord 2T, this model will come with a glossy plastic rear panel with curved sides. Due to the curved sides and flat metal frame, the phone will provide an excellent grip. The rear camera will have a rectangular shape, which will house two large camera sensors, a smaller third camera, and an LED flash.
On the sides, the manufacturer has placed tons of elements. For instance, the fingerprint scanner is on the right; the volume rockers and a hybrid SIM slot are on the left; the Type-C port is on the bottom along with the speaker grille and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As for the rest of the key features of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, we are talking about the first Nord-line model to come with Android 12 out of the box.
It will also sport a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, we will find a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. In its turn, this SoC will be coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The battery capacity should be 5,000mAh and it must support 33W fast charging.
In terms of photography, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will have a 64MP OmniVision primary sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono lens. On the opposite side, the phone will feature a 16MP sensor for selfies.
From the phone’s name, we can assume that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is the lightened version of the vanilla Nord CE 2. The latter was priced at 23,999 rupees ($313). So we guess the forthcoming model will cost 20,000 rupees ($274).
