Earlier in December 2021, Motorola released the Motorola Edge X30 and Motorola Edge S30 handsets. At the same time, it talked about the Motorola Edge X30 under-screen camera version, which differs from the original version only by the true full-screen design. Thus, there are no holes on the display and it will become the next comprehensive screen smartphone.
Not only that, the Motorola Edge X30 under-screen camera version will sport a 60-megapixel front-facing camera, which will support face recognition.
Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo Group’s China mobile phone business department, said that the facial recognition accuracy of the Motorola Edge X30 under-screen camera version exceeds all similar models currently on the market. Plus, there will be a small surprise at the launch.
In terms of core configuration, the Motorola Edge X30 new version will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 flagship processor. The battery capacity is as large as 5000mAh, and it supports 68W fast charging.
Lastly, the phone is priced at 3,999 yuan (12GB+256GB), which converts to $633. Thus, we are dealing with the cheapest Snapdragon 8 under-screen camera phone.
As for the models it is going to compete with, there are not many. Among them, we can mention the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, ZTE Axon 30, and Red Magic 7 Pro.

The rest of the noteworthy features include stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Android 12 out of the box.
