Many Google Pixel fans have been waiting for new products from this brand for a while. And seems the much-talked Pixel Watch and the Pixel 6a smartphone are ready to hit the market. If you still doubt that these products will appear on the shelves soon, we have to say the reason why we think their launch is imminent is quite adequate.
Today, Android Police got a few confirmations of their launch through leaked photos from a US carrier’s back-end inventory system. Moreover, if nothing accidental happens, both the Pixel Watch and the Pixel 6a will be announced in the nearest future. Apart from their design, we have also got some information concerning their parameters.
The Pixel Watch comes with the codename “rohan”. Like the Pixel 6a phone, it appeared in a US operator’s inventory system. The database shows that it will be available in three color options of gray, black, and gold. Moreover, there will be 32GB of storage, which is double the Galaxy Watch4’s capacity. Interestingly, the Apple Watch has a similar capacity. The operator will also offer a non-cellular smartwatch. That’s we think the Pixel Watch would come in a cell-enabled model. Unfortunately, the source didn’t disclose any information referring to the launch date and price tags.
The same source also talked about a product under the codename “bluejay”. If our memory serves as well, it’s the same codename of the upcoming Pixel 6a. The system shows the handset will offer three colors of black, white, and green. The storage capacity will be 128GB. The release date and prices remain mysterious.
However, prior to this, a tipster said that the Google Pixel 6a is scheduled for release next May. As a reminder, the Pixel 5a 5G was announced in August 2021; its predecessor Pixel 4a launched in August 2020; the Pixel 3a was unveiled during the Google I/O event, which was held in May 2019. So there is every reason to think the mentioned launch date is quite accurate.
Pixel 6a Features
Well, we have heard about the Google Pixel 6a previously. It should come with a 6.2-inch OLED display, a centered hole-punch selfie camera, and the same camera bump design on the back as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.
Under the hood, our protagonist ought to sport the Google in-house Tensor GS101 chip. On the rear, the phone will carry a camera consisting of a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor, which was first available on Pixel phones in 2018. It will be accompanied by a 12MP Sony IMX386 ultrawide lens. Meanwhile, for the selfie camera, it will use an 8MP Sony IMX355 lens.
