Earlier today, POCO, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, released two new smartphones – the POCO X4 Pro 5G and POCO M4 Pro. Like most POCO phones, these phones are familiar to us. We mean POCO usually rebrands the existing Redmi and Xiaomi phones and launches them under its own brand. And as the company doesn’t spend a cent on R&D, POCO can afford to sell the phones for much lower prices.
POCO X4 Pro 5G Specs
Except for the slightly different design, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is basically the same as the global version of Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. This simply means that our protagonist comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that also boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz and uses Corning Gorilla 5 glass protection.
The POCO X4 Pro 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s 6nm Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The back of the phone features a triple-camera module, which consists of a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery that POCO claims can provide over 15 hours of video playback. It also supports 67W turbocharging. Thus, a simple calculation shows that the phone will get fully charged in about 40 minutes. Apart from this, the POCO X4 Pro 5G comes with a Z-axis linear motor, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. Of course, like many Xiaomi phones, it supports infrared remote control.
POCO M4 Pro Specs
As for the POCO M4 Pro, it is basically the same as the recently launched Redmi Note 11S. The only major difference between the two is that the M4 Pro uses a 64-megapixel main camera instead of the Note 11S’s 108-megapixel sensor.
However, the POCO M4 Pro sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a front-facing 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G96 chipset and features liquid-cooled 1.0+ technology to ensure smooth operation even during long gaming sessions.
On the back of the POCO M4 Pro, we can find a triple-camera system with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The machine has a built-in 5000mAh large battery with 33W fast charging.
The phone also features dual stereo speakers, NFC, an infrared remote, IP53 splash resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
When it comes to software, both the X4 Pro 5G and M4 Pro run POCO’s MIUI 13, which is based on Android 11.
Price And Availability
