VIVO NEX 5 Will Be Called VIVO X Note Due To Massive Screen

VIVO NEX 5

In the next month, VIVO is going to release its new flagship phone dubbed the VIVO NEX 5. Well, as there is no official information concerning its name, we have been thinking it will be called in this way. The last model from this series was the VIVO NEX 3. And there is some superstition related to the number 4. That’s why many Chinese companies just skip it. Anyway, today, from a reliable tipster, we learned that the upcoming phone will be called the VIVO X Note. Plus, the source disclosed some selling points of the forthcoming smartphone.

In fact, the Weibo blogger found the 3C certification information of a Vivo V2170A phone. And if there is nothing accidental, this is going to be our protagonist. Well, according to the leaked information, the upcoming VIVO phone will ship with a charger that has a model number of V8060L0A0-CN. The latter has a charging speed of 80W. Unfortunately, this is the only piece of information we could grab from the listing.

But prior to this, we have heard too much about the suspected VIVO X Note. This phone (Vivo V2170A) will come with dimensions of 168 x 76.5 x 9.2mm and it will weigh 221 grams. However, we are interested in another feature. But before revealing what we know, we’d like to ask don’t you think why the company will call it the VIVO X Note and not the NEX 5? Doesn’t the “Note” hint at anything? If not, then you should know that the handset will sport a massive 7-inch display with a curved edge design and a centrally positioned punch-hole. This colossal screen will use an E5 OLED panel that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, we will find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor as well as a 5,000mAh battery, which is going to effectively partner with the 80W charger.

On the back, our protagonist will sport a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 primary camera. Apart from this, there will be a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 lens, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 camera, and a 12-megapixel OmniVision OV08A10 camera with 5x zoom support. Unfortunately, we don’t have any concrete information concerning its front-facing camera.

Interestingly, another tipster Paras Guglani has claimed that Vivo phones with model numbers V2170PDA and V2178A will be launching as the Vivo NEX 10 Pro and Vivo NEX Fold.
