In a few days, on February 24, OPPO will hold a new product launch conference, at which it will uncover the much-talked OPPO Find X5 series smartphones. Today, a Weibo user released several videos, showcasing the actual look of the upcoming smartphone.
As we can see in the video, the three colors of the OPPO Find X5 standard version are white, black, and bright gradient colors. Also, the camera module is designed in black. The Find X5 Pro’s black and white colors both use an integrated lens module of the same color as the back cover, which looks more natural.
The forthcoming OPPO Find X5 series will continue the design style of the previous generation. On the front, we will find a curved OLED flexible screen that will also use a punch-hole screen design. It will support up to 120Hz refresh rate as well as the Second-generation LTPO technology. The back adopts a streamlined mirror back shell. Also, the rear camera module will adopt a unique special shape, which is highly recognizable.
LTPO stands for Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide. Currently, there are two main backplane technologies for small-size OLEDs. They are called LTPS and IGZO. In this sense, LTPO can achieve a wide range of dynamic refresh rates. Thus, it combines the advantages of both LTPS and IGZO technologies.
In terms of hardware, the OPPO Find X5 will have at least 3 models. They will be powered by the Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 8, and MediaTek Dimensity 9000. The Qualcomm 8 Gen 1 variant will also sport OPPO’s self-developed chip dubbed the Mariana MariSilicon X. It is the world’s first 6nm image-specific NPU chip. Also, it uses a self-developed AI computing unit, has a maximum AI computing power of 18 TOPS, and has an energy efficiency ratio of 11.6 TOPS / W.
Also, recently, we learned that the OPPO Find X5 will feature cameras jointly made with Hasselblad. As you know, this is the same brand that cooperated with the OnePlus 9 Pro. Our protagonist will use a triple-camera design, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 32-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. The main sensor will support OIS (optical image stabilization). In simple words, recording videos won’t cause any trouble because the system will stabilize the handshake defect. On the opposite side, we will find a 32MP resolution Sony IMX709 CMOS.
