Many Microsoft fans haven’t even managed to get their hands on the Surface Laptop 4. So if you one of them, do not hurry to acquire the mentioned product as a new one is on the road. Today, WindowsPrime disclosed key features of the forthcoming Surface Laptop 5. They look outstanding. For instance, from the spotted specs we can see that it will come in two different sizes–13.5 inches and 15 inches.
These new laptops will come with the brand-new PixelSense 120Hz refresh rate displays that are believed to provide unprecedented productivity and flair of work. Plus, due to Microsoft 365, users shouldn’t complain about anything.
Other than that, the displays will have a pixel density of 201 PPI as well as a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. These screens are capable of providing great color reproduction and vivid visuals like never before. Of course, they are touchscreens supporting a 10-point multi-touch feature. It is also backed with Dolby Vision support.
Under the hood, the Surface Laptop 5 will offer two options – either the latest 12th gen. Intel core processor or the AMD Ryzen 6000 series mobile processors.
There are various options you can choose from. Say, the 13.5-inch variant will be available with the 12th gen. Intel Core i5-1240P and an i7-1280P processor or the AMD Ryzen 7 6680U mobile processor with the Radeon graphics. At the same time, the 15-inch version will come with an option between 12th gen. Intel Core i7-1280P processor or the AMD Ryzen 7 6980U mobile processor with Radeon graphics (Microsoft Surface Edition).

As a reminder, the previous model the Surface Laptop 4 came with the 11th gen. Intel core processor or the AMD Ryzen 7 4980U mobile processor. So there is every reason to think the Surface Laptop 5 will perform way better than its predecessor.
As for endurance, the Surface Laptop 5 is said to provide up to 17.5 – 21 hours of battery life. There is a big interval between the two numbers because it will depend on the processor and the display configuration of the device. Again, when compared with the Laptop 4’s 17-19 hours battery, it sounds quite attractive.
When talking about the graphics, we have to say that the Surface Laptop 5 models will come with a choice between Intel Iris Xe graphics and the Radeon graphics, depending on the processor configuration.
These notebooks will come with three different storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB SSD and three memory variants of 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB DDR4 RAM.
Unlike the Surface Laptop 4, the interfaces and connectivity options have been improved a lot. The Surface Laptop 5 will have two USB-C with USB 4.0 or the Thunderbolt 4, along with USB-A, 3.5 mm headphone jack and the Surface connector port. Say, its predecessor has had no Thunderbolt 4 port.
Other than that these notebooks will support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, etc.
