Motorola has become the talk of the town recently. Only a few will remember that back in 2009, Motorola was the first who could launch an Android smartphone dubbed the Motorola Droid that can compete with the iPhone. The main reason behind this was its 4.3-inch screen, which was among those rare models that took Android into the large-screen territory. We should also recall the Motorola Atrix that though was the first to come with a fingerprint sensor, failed.

However, the DROID series didn’t last long. As a result, Motorola had to turn to affordable phones. But we all understand that this couldn’t last forever. So Motorola returned to flagships with the Motorola Edge Plus in 2020. On the 24th of this month, the manufacturer will introduce its next top-notch model for markets including the U.S.
Earlier, we learned that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be the rebranded version of the Edge X30. If you remember, the latter is the first smartphone coming with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chip.
Today, MySmartPrice revealed that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro had been listed on the Bluetooth SIG website with the model number XT-2201-1. From this listing, we can see that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is the same phone like the Motorola Edge X30 (with model number XT-2201-2).
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch POLED (plastic OLED) display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, apart from the mentioned chip, there will also be 12GB of memory and up to 256GB of storage. The camera module includes a 50MP camera sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization), another 50MP camera sensor in the back of an ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The 5000mAh battery will support 68W fast charging. Our protagonist will also run Android 12 with MyUX on top. The phone will sport an in-display fingerprint scanner.
This simply means that the features seen in the Bluetooth SIG listing confirm what we have heard earlier.
Another new Motorola phone codenamed Frontier 22 will debut in the second half of this year. It is going to sport a 200-megapixel main camera and is the flagship phone with the highest number of pixels so far. It will use the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 with a unit pixel area of 0.64μm and it will support ChameleonCell pixel synthesis technology.
