This evening, Samsung held a new product launch conference and officially released the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+, with starting prices of $799 and $999, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+
The Samsung Galaxy S22 body size is 70.6*146*7.6mm, it comes with a 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, supports a 10-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 screen size has been upgraded to a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, which also supports a 10-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, with a maximum brightness of 1750 nits.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ are also the first four-sided equal-width Snapdragon 8 flagships.
In terms of core configuration, the Galaxy S22 series provides two chip versions, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 and Exynos 2200. Both are based on Samsung’s 4nm process. The processor version will vary from region to region.
As for cameras, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ sport a 50MP main camera + 10MP telephoto lens + 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens combination. The sensor size of the main camera is 23% larger than that of the S21 and S21+. Both the main camera and the telephoto support OIS optical image stabilization.
It is worth mentioning that the S22 and S22+ also come with Samsung’s latest AI technology, which further improves the overall shooting performance.
In terms of battery life, the two new phones have built-in 3700mAh and 4500mAh batteries, respectively. The S22 supports 25W charging and 15W wireless charging, and the S22+ supports 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
As for other key features, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ provide two configurations of 8+128GB and 8+256GB, support IP68 waterproof, and have four colors: Feather Dream White, Fog Pine Green, Luster Powder, and Black.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has undergone major improvements, inheriting the design concept of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and has a different appearance than the other two in the series.
The machine has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 1TB of storage space. It features a 6.8-inch large-curvature WQHD+ AMOLED 2X display with a peak refresh rate of 120Hz and supports a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
As the largest in the series, the Galaxy S22 Ultra also comes with a large 5000mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging.
As for photography, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra boasts a 108-megapixel main camera with laser autofocus, advanced auto-framing and OIS, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that supports 120°FoV. There are also two 10-megapixel telephoto lenses (3x and 10x optical zoom), and a 40-megapixel front-facing lens.
The most important improvement of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the built-in S Pen stylus. It is known as “the fastest and most responsive S Pen” and supports all the functions common to the Galaxy Note series, including memos, handwritten text conversion, quick notes, etc.
All three phones will be pre-installed with the One UI 4.1 system, which is specially optimized for night photography and can generate well-lit and detail-preserving images. All three phones in the Galaxy S22 series receive up to four Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
