Recently, we have heard and seen too much about the forthcoming Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone. Today, the company disclosed how the internal heat dissipation system of the phone will work. It turns out that our protagonist will use a dual-fan + dual radiator fin design. The latter can provide an additional 4W of performance release.
From the poster, we can see that the Legion Y90 mobile phone will be equipped with the Frost Blade cooling mobile system. Thus, it has the same name as the cooling system of the Legion Y9000 notebook. This simply means that Lenovo takes the mobile phones’ cooling to the level of gaming laptops. As for the technology itself, concentrating on the fins is blowing heat out of the inside of the phone via a turbofan.
Compared with the previous generation, the heat dissipation capacity of the Legion Y90 mobile phone with active cooling has been increased by 300%, and it can provide an additional 4W of performance release.
According to Lenovo’s official test data, the Legion Y90 mobile phone can maintain stable operation at 120fps when playing “Honor of Kings”. Also, the maximum surface temperature of the whole machine is 36.5 degrees Celsius. When playing “Genshin Impact”, the highest special effects can also ensure that the frame does not drop for 20 minutes, the frame rate is maintained at about 60fps, and the temperature is 38.4°C.
As for the configuration of the mobile phone, the Legion Y90 mobile phone will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and use a 6.9-inch Samsung E4 OLED screen that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 720Hz touch sampling rate. The front will house a 44-megapixel selfie lens, while the rear camera will consist of a 64-megapixel main lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The battery capacity is going to be 5300mAh and it should support 68W fast charging. The latter might cause concerns referring to the weight. Not in vain. The net weight of the Legion Y90 mobile phone is 252g. So it is not too heavy, but not light as well.
From TENAA documents, we can also learn that it will have various storage variants, including 8GB, 12GB, 16GB, and even 18GB of RAM with up to 4GB of virtual RAM support as well as 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options.
