OnePlus is making some changes to the naming principles of its mid-range Nord series. The company is reportedly planning to replace the OnePlus Nord 2 with the OnePlus Nord 2T. According to Yogesh Brar, the new “T” branded phone will be announced in India sometime in April – May.
OnePlus Nord 2T Features
The source also revealed some important information about the smartphone. According to him, the price of the smartphone will be between 30,000 Indian rupees ($402) – 40,000 Indian rupees ($536). Therefore, the price of this smartphone is similar to that of its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 2.

Current timeline is April/May, this complicates 2022 plans since by late Q3 we should be hearing stuff about Nord 3.

The OnePlus Nord 2T will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chip, coupled with up to 12GB of memory and 256GB of native storage. Other than that, the smartphone will feature a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. Our protagonist will run OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Speaking of cameras, the OnePlus Nord 2T will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calls, there will be a whopping 32-megapixel front-mounted camera.
Under the hood, we will also find a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC charging. This is the same charging technology used by the OnePlus 10 Pro.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Features
Meanwhile, OnePlus will release another Nord phone, but it will be available in India before the Nord 2T. If the rumors are true, the company will release the OnePlus Nord CE 2 in February, which will become a follow-up model to the Nord CE. According to the same source, the price of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be between 25,000 Indian rupees ($335) and 30,000 Indian rupees ($406) when it goes on sale.
According to Yogesh Brar, the Nord CE 2 will come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. Insider, the phone will house the Dimensity 900 processor accompanied by 6GB to 12GB of memory. The smartphone will feature three camera modules on the back, including a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. A 16-megapixel camera will be placed in the punch-hole to capture selfies and video calls.
The new OnePlus Nord 2 CE will also feature a 4500mAh battery and support up to 65W fast charging. It will boast the Android 12 system out of the box.
