Samsung will hold a new product launch event known as Galaxy Unpacked on February 9. This is the day when many Galaxy series products will be officially uncovered. Besides the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphones, the manufacturer will also release the Galaxy Tab S8 line tablets. The latter will include three models – the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. They are going to be top-notch models with a number of outstanding features. But only two of them, the Galaxy Tab S8+ and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will receive S Pen latency improvements.
Today, Dohyun Kim disclosed tons of specs about the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series. The information seems to be quite reliable, as it comes our way from leaked presentation files of Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. As the tipster said, Samsung had presented the event to employees, to which Kim somehow gained access.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series Specs
Well, even before these screenshots, we knew that the three models, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will arrive as three tablets, the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. And there is no model powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 2200, at least, for the moment.

The leaked photos also disclose some features that we haven’t heard about before. Say, it turns out the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and the Ultra will have a 2.8ms reduction in S Pen latency. As for the original model, the S Pen latency still remains at 6.2ms.
Apart from this, in the screenshots, we can see that the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will come with two selfie shooters that will also ensure high-def video conferencing capabilities. We assume that Samsung will add something like Apple’s Center Stage functionality but with two camera sensors. If you remember, Apple uses only one ultra-wide-angle camera.
The Korean company is going to add some software innovations to the camera. For instance, the Galaxy Tab S8 cameras will support ‘Screen & Face Dual-Recording’. On the one hand, it will make the Galaxy Tab S8 stand out among other Android tablets. But on the other hand, we still have no idea which applications will take advantage of this feature.
Lastly, Samsung will also introduce myriads of accessories. Say, it is going to showcase the Book Cover Keyboard and DeX software.
