Black Shark will withdraw from the gaming smartphones niche. Well, it still will announce the Black Shark 5 model. But after its acquisition by Tencent, Black Shark will switch to making VR equipment. Generally talking, the metaverse is going to be our next station. We mean all major tech companies are actively preparing their equipment and software for virtual reality. But it will take a few years. Before that, there will be a certain number of customers who will request gaming smartphones and not only smartphones. In this sense, Lenovo’s activity is logical. It’s trying to fill the gap and capture a larger market share. But about its opportunities, we can speak only after the launch of the Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet and the Legion Y90 gaming smartphone.
Yesterday, Lenovo ZUI’s official Weibo channel posted a real photo, announcing that this tablet supports the 90fps frame rate of “League of Legends”. By default, it is disabled. But users can enable it in the game settings.
Lenovo Legion Y700 Features
The Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet is designed for gaming use, with a moderate size and powered by the Snapdragon 870 chip. Also, various leaks confirmed that it would support the 120fps mode of “Honor of Kings” and the Legion Y700 was stable at 119.1fps throughout the whole process, and the frame rate was almost stable in a straight line. At the same time, the highest surface temperature of the fuselage was only 36.5 ℃ (room temperature 23 ℃).
This product will also support the ultra-wide field of view mode of “Honor of Kings” and “League of Legends Mobile Games”. They can change the screen display ratio from 16:10 to 21:10 to obtain a wider field of view. At the same time, users can adjust the screen position, center, or lean.
Previously, we saw the real photo of the upcoming Legion Y700 gaming tablet. In terms of size, it is similar to the Apple iPad mini 6, but the screen is larger.
Also, we’ve seen that the Legion Y700 uses a CNC metal middle frame. There is a single camera accompanied by a flash. It is worth noting that there seem to be two independent shoulder buttons on the side of the fuselage.
The Legion Y700 will sport an 8.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2560*1600. The latter will also support a 120Hz high refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The tablet supports the JBL sound system, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos.
