A couple of days ago, Xiaomi uncovered the Redmi Note 11 series global versions. As you should know, the family includes four models: the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11s, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. But apart from its original Mi series and the already independent Redmi brand, there is the third ‘weapon’ in Xiaomi’s arsenal – POCO. The latter is known for its ability to rebrand the already-existing Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones and launch them in various markets. We guess you notice the relation between these two stories. Today, we learned that this brand will release the POCO M4 Pro smartphone will hit various markets soon. And it’s going to be the rebranded Redmi note 11s.
We have to remind you that there is already the POCO M4 Pro 5G in the market. It is the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 launched in China. So the one we are talking about is the 4G version. Not surprisingly, the POCO M4 Pro 4G and the newly-announced Redmi Note 11s have the same codename of fleur.
As usual, the upcoming POCO M4 Pro 4G will keep the key features of the Redmi Note 11s. But not to look ideally identical, there will be some cosmetic changes as well. At the moment, there is no information concerning the changes and the launch date. But there is the possibility that the POCO M4 Pro 4G might co-exist with the Redmi Note 11s in concrete markets. At least, we have seen something similar when the Redmi Note 10T and POCO M3 Pro 5G well available for purchase in the same markets.
Anyway, if talking about the similarities of the POCO M4 Pro 4G and the Redmi Note 11s, we can guess that the former will inherit many features from the latter. The Redmi Note 11S sports a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, a 108MP main shooter, and a 16MP selfie camera. Other than that, there is a 6.43-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a touch-sampling rate of 180Hz, and 1000nits of peak brightness.
Inside, our protagonist also hosts a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 33W wired fast charging. And a corresponding charger is included in the box. It runs MIUI 13 based on Android 11.
Lastly, the Redmi Note 11s comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
