Many Xiaomi fans remember the POCO F3, which brought an unprecedented ratio of price-over-hardware. This handset stood out with its great performance and camera features. So it’s logical that the manufacturer has been working on its successor. The phone has got an early name of POCO F4 GT. In fact, this is the same Redmi K50 / Gaming Edition but with slightly changed features and look.
Recently, the phone’s IMEI number was leaked. This simply means that the POCO team is actively working on the phone and getting all possible certificates and the likes. Thus, the POCO F4 GT phone’s release is around the corner. As for the spotted IMEI database records, they can help us to predict the release of new Xiaomi devices. We mean, usually, when they appear on the net, it takes around 1 or 2 months to go on sale.
Prior to this, the POCO F4 GT leaked in renders. Well, as this handset will look identical to the Redmi K50, there is every reason to think the leaked protective case will suit both. But based on it and what we had heard before, XiaomiUI created a render of the phone’s possible design.
We already said above that the POCO F4 GT will inherit many features of the Redmi K50 series. It means likely we will see a 6.67-inch OLED display. The latter is expected to be protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Also, as one of the key features of the phone, the display will have an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a Full HD+ resolution. It adopts a punch-hole screen design, which will house a selfie camera.
Under the hood, our protagonist is going to carry the much-talked and the most-powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. In its turn, the chip will be accompanied by 8 GB RAM and 128 GB native storage. There is no option for expanding the storage capacity.
In terms of the camera, the POCO F4 GT should come with a triple-camera system. The main sensor should have a 64MP resolution, while the other two ought to be an 8-MP wide-angle lens and a 2-MP macro sensor. For selfies, the phone will offer a 16MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The rest of the noteworthy features will include Android 12 with MIUI 13, dual-SIM card support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The POCO F4 GT also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock.
