The Galaxy S22 is on everyone’s lips. We have been getting various leaks concerning its look and features for a while. These days, we saw almost everything – high-def renders, prices, leaked features, leaked benchmark results, etc. We even heard rumors when the company is going to uncover this lineup. The only thing we haven’t heard was the official launch date. Today, Samsung fixed this by issuing a statement and saying that its first Unpacked event of 2022 will take place on February 9.
Samsung will release “The New Epic Standard of Smartphone Experiences,” according to the Unpacked event. Generally, this is in line with the previous leaks and rumors. We mean everyone was talking about the reincarnation of the Samsung Galaxy Note. And now, we realize that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will become a new receptacle for the Note’s soul.
There is no sense to have two top-end phones. So Samsung has decided to sacrifice the Note line. Really? It turns out Samsung just took the name of the Galaxy S22 Ultra and launches the Galaxy Note under this moniker. We think this is a smart move.
Moreover, Samsung’s invitation letters to the event continue to push the same narrative, that is, Samsung has to break all the rules to continue innovating. That’s not difficult to guess that the manufacturer is talking about the stylus. Thus, it’s for the first time when a Galaxy S series phone comes with an S Pen.
True innovations don’t just evolve with the world – they help shape it. To create the devices that push us ahead, rewrite the future, and bring light to the dark, we must continue to break the rules of what is possible with a smartphone.
However, launching the Note under the Galaxy S name is just part of the story. It seems the Galaxy S22 models (if not all, at least, the S22 Ultra) will support camera recording functionality that might include 3D/VR capabilities.

Lastly, The Unpacked is an online event. But this is not surprising, as due to the situation in the world, the companies have to be more careful.
